Carlin de Paolo
The first vintage of Carlin de Paolo wines came out 1999, but the viticulture tradition of the family goes back four generations. The name Carlin de Paolo comes from the names of the founder Paolo and his son Carlo. The wines reflect the authenticity, territory and tradition, passed down through generations.
It all started in small scale from Gorzano village and has since then grown for more than 50 hectares winery. Parcels are all over Piedmont, but the heart of Carlin de Paolo is still by the Alfieri Hills. The philosophy of the family “Good wine is not made in the cellar but in the vineyard” has guided Carlin de Paolo until today and therefore the soil and the land is treated with all the respect, like a family treasure.
Here the centuries-old winegrowing traditions are kept alive, with sustainable, natural organic methods. The large selection of grape varieties include indigenous Piedmontese grapes Barbera, Dolcetto, Grignolino, Nebbiolo, Croatina, Arneis, Chardonnay, Cortese and Moscato.
