Bretz<\/h2>\n

For 300 years, starting in 1721, the Bretz family has been cultivating wine in Bechtolsheim, Rheinhessen. The center of the cultivation is the Petersberg mountain, which stands out from the otherwise fairly flat terrain of the Rheinhessen. Already the tenth generation continues the family traditions on this diverse farm.<\/p>\n

The soil of the ancient seabed of Petersberg is sandy limestone and rock, which provides an exceptionally versatile platform for the cultivation of many different varieties. Today, on a farm of about 40 hectares, more than a dozen grape varieties, both white and red, are grown, not forgetting the most important German variety, Riesling!<\/p>\n

The farm\u2019s cozy Mediterranean courtyard and tastefully renovated tasting rooms are in themselves worth a visit. Not to mention great wines!<\/p>\n
