Torre Zambra<\/h3>\n

It was the year 1910 when Grandfather Vincenzo bought 20 hectares of land in Abruzzo. The land had belonged to a family called Zambra and a building with a tower belonged to them. From this Vincenzo invented the name Torre Zambra and this is how viticulture could begin. Thirty years later, war broke out and the crops were completely destroyed.<\/p>\n

Vincenzo never cultivated wine again, but his son-in-law Laurentino de Cerchio took over the land after the war and began a reconstruction of the farm. It was a slow and time-consuming project in war-torn Italy, but finally, after 14 years of hard work, they were at a stage where the own wine could be produced again. 1961 Torre Zambra winery was reborn!<\/p>\n

Abruzzo is especially known for its Montepulciano grape, which produces full-bodied and dark red wines. Torre Zambra is in the town of Villamagna, set in the mountains gently sloping into the Adriatic Sea. This marine mountain creates optimal conditions for the cultivation of local traditional grapes.<\/p>\n
