Bosco

Bosco

Tenute Bosco is located in the commune of Castiglione di Sicilia on the northern side of Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe. The first written evidence of the estate is found in an old manuscript dating back to 1669. Part of the existing vineyards are planted 1870 and they survived the eruption of 1879, which makes them one of the few surviving Pre-Phylloxera vineyards.

The whole production of Tenute Bosco is of authentic Sicilian grape varieties and all wines are partly, or fully made of Pre-Phylloxera vines. In the last years, the winery has gained very good reputation due to its high quality. All the production is organic.
